On March 30th 8 REACT partners were welcomed to Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg in Germany for a 2-day Study Visit hosted by our partners in ALU’s Institute of Forest Economics & Forest Planning.
During the visit the REACT partners were able to discuss with several members of ALU’s academic and administrative staff on issues such as international joint degree programs, multi-disciplinary research and qualification European programs like ConFoBi, or organisation and management of research services within the university, including how ALU supports its researchers in obtaining funding for their research proposals. The emphasis on multi-discplinarity allowed the partners to see some good examples of how researchers from different fields and work together in areas such as Climate Change.
